Spooky Homeware Inspiration Round-up
It may only be July, but the Halloween decorations and homeware have started to hit the shelves and it’s got me feeling all spooky. I haven’t had chance to do any shopping myself yet but I’ve loved seeing the sneak peaks and seeing what everyone else has been picking up.
If you’re like me, the cauldrons, skeleton mugs and general spooky aesthetics aren’t just for halloween, but a all year round commitment. I’ve been building a folder of emo, goth, spooky and alternative home decor inspiration for my future emo fantasy home, and now feels like the perfect time to share the best of them with you. Most images have been found on Instagram, I’ve included the original creator tag for every image and you can click on their tag to find them on instagram so check out more of their posts and give them a follow.
Let’s Start with the outside
This all over black house is super gothic and sleek and the absolute pinnacle of gothic decor. I love that you can see the hint of the house next door which is obviously the same build but in its original colours. This house would definitely stand out. I personally don’t want to live in a super old and creepy house, because ghosts, but an all over black paint job would definitely add some emo flare to any house.
If you’re looking for something that’s a bit less work, @missy.creep shows off how you can even go full halloween at Christmas with their outside Christmas decorations from last year.
Getting Inside
I’m obsessed with everything @project_thirteen_ post about their gothic home renovation, but I really love their kitchen. It makes such a statement while still being sophisticated and the shades of black and grey work really well. The hexagon tiles make a super unique addition too. You can see the whole process of their home renovation on Instagram.
This bedroom combines a few statement pieces to create a real witchy vibe out of general home decor and a sprinkling of gothic.
Heading inside of @missy.creep’s home, they stay consistent with the orange and black theme. The orange statement wall and ouija board coffee table are the real focal points of this room and the gothic accessories brings it all together
The Statement Wall
This statement wall from @glass.manor is perfect to show off your collections as well as your art. The spooky Pop Vinyls, the lights, the coffins shelves, the bats, the prints - there’s a lot to see here but it works and I love it!
The Devil’s In The Details
@glass.manor, home of the statement wall, spookified a retro gumball machine with black paint and it would be perfect to add all year round halloween sweeties. Think I might give this DIY project a try myself.
I love the way @xxmartinagoodwinxx uses this ladder to display her collection spooky blankets. I’m a big blanket fiend and I mostly keep them in boxes so I’m definitely keeping this idea for the future.
And finally we have this incredible drinks counter from @spookybeesandthings. I want every single piece of this in my future kitchen, I’m obsessed.
There’s just so much spooky home inspiration and so many good ideas to create the perfect emo abode. What are your favourites?
