All those things that make you an individual, that make you ‘weird’, they’re the best things. They make you, you. We’re told everyday that we need to hide these things, change them to be ‘better’, or ‘normal’. Well f*ck that. Celebrate your weirdness, show off who you are and what you love. Let your freak flag fly.

Sugar Storm is a creative empowerment brand that is challenging the rules and giving outsiders and unconventional individuals the tools to express themselves, raise their voice and embrace their weirdness.

I am providing free content across multiple platforms that exists to empower and inspire. This will explore themes of DIY culture, creativity, indie business and craft, alternative fashion and music and motivation. This will take the form of blogs, downloadable content and video.

I have created a collection of alternative fashion that is exciting, sustainable and comfortable. Sugar Storm clothing exists to provide an alternative to fast-fashion, to empower the outsiders and create a positive shopping experience. I am doing this by creating hand drawn designs, inspired by outsiders, tattoos and empowerment, collaborating with other small businesses and creatives, and putting customer experience first.

Our fashion is focused on quality and accessibility, the kind of thing you can see yourself in. That makes you excited to wear because it communicates something, it shares something about you, something you care about, whether that’s subtle and just for you, or a bold statement for the world. 

Because fashion doesn’t need to be serious, we’re allowed to wear clothes that make us smile, make us laugh, and if you don’t look in the mirror and feel like yourself when you’re dressed, then you’re wearing the wrong clothes. Sugar Storm will curate a programme of supporting events to bring this mission on the road. This will include regular and one off workshops - creative, empowerment and motivational workshops and community events. This will aim to connect more outsiders and unconventional individuals and give them the tools to make change and build relationships with others.

We are not for everyone. We are for the weirdos, the wild ones and the rebels. We are here to break rules and make change. Are you in?

Sugar Storm was created by Charlotte Hamilton, who is a multi-disciplinary artist, creating art in a range of mediums, taking inspiration from femininity, communication and relationships. She has experience running creative workshops and working with young people to teach, empower and support.
