Sustainability Pledge
Plastic Free
You will find no single use plastic in any Sugar Storm packaging. Sugar Storm orders are wrapped in acid free tissue paper which is made from recycled materials. When you receive your tissue paper, I encourage you to reuse it for your own packaging or gifting needs, or if you remove any stickers, it is compostable.
Sugar Storm orders are then placed in cardboard boxes, printed with environmentally friendly ink and sealed with masking tape. The masking tape I currently use is not recyclable, so please remove this before recycling your box. Once I have used my current tape supply I will be switching to a biodegradable alternative.
Direct To Garment Printing
My DTG printing is carried out by Skull Print- a sustainable company who use vegan friendly inks, and environmentally friendly printing processes. As outlined on their website: ‘All products are ethically sourced and use organically grown materials. All packaging is thoughtfully done using recycled and biodegradable products. We use only the best quality inks and treatments. We trade ethically and with a conscious - always.’ For more information on Skull Print, visit their website at https://skullprint.co.uk/
Screen Printing
Screen Printed products are printed my hand in my Westcliff studio. I work to reduce the amount of landfill waste created in this process and dispose of waste responsibly. The inks I use are vegan friendly and non toxic. Any damaged or unwanted printed products are either reused as scrap materials, or recycled with textile recycling.
